Jemena Pipeline Reclassification (Application)
On Wednesday, 22 April 2009 the Council received an application under section 128 of the National Gas Law (NGL) from Jemena Gas Networks (NSW) Limited for a decision to reclassify its Wilton to Newcastle and Wilton to Wollongong transmission pipelines as distribution pipelines. A copy of the application is available for download below.
The Council is considering this application under the expedited consultation procedure in the National Gas Rules (NGR). The Council published a notice of receipt of the application on Friday, 24 April 2009 and invited written submissions in response to the application. If your organisation wishes to make a submission, it must be received by the Council by no later than 5:00pm on Monday, 18 May 2009. The Council's guide to making a submission and submission cover sheet is available for download below. Submissions, along with a completed submission cover sheet, should be emailed to gas@ncc.gov.au, with a hard copy sent to John Feil, Executive Director, National Competition Council, GPO Box 250, Melbourne, VIC 3001. The NGL requires the Council to make its decision in 4 months. This period may be extended in exceptional circumstances. Following the closing of submissions on the application, the Council will advise its timetable for the subsequent steps in its decision making process: issuing a draft decision, receiving further submissions and making a final decision.
